The Three Parts of an Information Product

When we see a finished product, we rarely think about the, my cams , parts go. We just look, my cams , for the box and say "great product." But in the case of an information product, there are three different parts: content, packaging and delivery. Let's look at each individually. Content The content of the information is the core of the product. Without content there is no product. Without unique content, it is just a rehash. Your expertise is what makes your content unique. When you learn to express your expertise, you are sharing your content. Content is the message and the actual details of the buyer. Packaging We often think of packaging as the product comes in the box above but with digital products, there isn 't necessarily a physical package. Instead we think of the way the content is placed in a usable format, my cams , and the packaging. It is in, my cams , an ebook, an MP3 audio, an audio CD, a screen-cam movie, or a downloadable video. More often you see products from a combination of container sizes. Packaging is a decision you make before you offer the product for sale. Delivery is what happens after the sale. Delivery Once the content is packaged, we have several choices. We can be 100% digital content. We can send in one physical package. Or we can, my cams , use a combination. Timing is a factor when considering the best combination of delivery. For example, the focus of the consumer instant gratification, they often want something immediately after purchase. So even if you're shipping a physical product, consider offering the first parts of it as a digital download - to keep them satisfied with their physical product to arrive. When shipping a physical product takes one weeks or so, an additional download of information in the meantime. This "surprise" e-mail is a good stop-gap while they wait for the full product, my cams , . Then there is the issue of consumption. Research shows that many people buying a product - but not really use. Instead,, my cams , the true shelf. This hurts the consumer who purchased, my cams , the product, not by their use of the product and get the results promised. And it can also reduce the likelihood that they, my cams , will buy from you again, because they are the results of their initial purchase to see. To help prevent this from happening with your products, consider providing some of the content in time. For example, 1 - provide a follow-up email sequence that highlights various, my cams , features of the product information. 2 - send unannounced bonus gifts that reinforce the important aspects, my cams , of the, my cams , product. 3 - send online postcards to, my cams , stay in contact stress and other issues in the product. When you consider the preparation and delivery of information products, you realize the content still - beyond the initial creation of the, my cams , product. Consider all parts!
