"Lets practice what we preach"

In order to study the effects of people on an animal population we must first know how the creatures existed without human interference. While there are numerous ways to collect data, the purest form is natural observation. Here, we to take an omniscient look of the environment we are viewing with out its members being conscious of our observation. As scientific observers, we must strive to be wallflowers. To achieve this, scientists create a control sample by attempting to remove any human interference from the environment. In order to understand how we are affecting a particular species we must first see how they exist without the involvement of man. In other words... Homo-erectus ejectus

Before video cameras, motion sensors, and other techno-goodies, this was all but impossible. Yet still, with the centuries old methodology of Science, the true "progressive" pioneers created an inarguable lineage of logic; Galileo, Mendel, Darwin and the like managed to create an irrefutable set of truths that now represent the full embodiment of our best understanding of life, the universe, and where we humans fit (or s!it) in it all. The modern progressive movement simply wants publicly funded schools to teach these very truths to our children. There is no need to water down scientific facts with faith based theories of the universe or human existence. We should only teach the truth! This is what is best for our children. Truth ensures the existence of our very special species. We must continue to build on these concepts and pass them on to the next generation so they can be a part of this perpetual motion. So why do we ignore the truth when it comes to health care? These implications spread far beyond religion, socio-economic status and race. This stuff is directly related to which members of our species procreate. The world has limited resources and its members must compete for them. In general, only the strongest survive and only the survivors have offspring. This is a recipe for a sickly gene pool. We are in competition with other species for limited resources. Other species follow the rule and we claim we want to live by the rules. Yet, with health care, liberal politicians consistently choose to break the rules. If we continue to break them we will become like domestic cows in wolf infested woods. We will quickly seize to exist. Why should tax payers help perpetuate genes that are statistical drains on society and negative influences on the human gene pool. To make it in the wild you must be smart or strong (or both). The uninsured with preexisting conditions are neither. Other than sentimental value, they are a complete drain on society. Lets do our species a favor and let nature take its course.

We may not agree on how or why or if this world was created, but we all concur that it is a fine tuned machine that can easily go into disrepair. Yet as adults we are ignoring these very truths for common partisan argument. These concepts are being taught to our children, yet we are ignoring them over petty politics. We have all observed animals in the wild. Its even likely that we got a better "scientific" experience than Darwin himself could have ever dreamed of. Cable TV and the Web provide us access to nature documentaries and live-cams that allow us to view the very same footage as the expert scientists funded by the federal government. In fact, we may even get to hear their expert commentary for "free".
